Neil Young – After the gold rush (First Pressing + Poster Included) [12-Inch]
Neil Young’s After the gold rush (First Pressing + Poster Included) on 12-Inch vinyl for Reprise Records is a UK issue recorded between August 1969 and June 1970. A reflective, intimate set captured across top studios and Young’s home setup, catalogue number K44088.
Why we rate it
Recorded at Sunset Sound and Sound City in Hollywood, plus Neil’s home studio in Topanga, CA (Aug 1969–June 1970), this edition reflects the album’s homespun charm alongside studio finesse. Issued in a gatefold sleeve with a poster bearing “K 44088 Made in England” at the bottom right; labels are the tan “steamboat” Reprise design with the orange R logo, showing no additional cat. no. or “Made in England” text. All tracks are published by Warner Bros Music except B1 by Acuff Rose. Most songs were inspired by the Dead Stockwell–Herb Berman screenplay “After The Goldrush”; note the common variant where B6 appears as CRIPPLE CREEK FERRY on the label versus CRIPPLED CREEK FERRY on the cover.
