AAA is a place built around music.

Not as decoration.
Not as something that fills the silence.

But as the thing everything else revolves around.

Music sounds different when people are actually listening.

By day

It’s a coffee house.

People come in for a flat white, open a laptop, meet a friend, or just sit for a bit and let the world slow down slightly.

There are records playing, not playlists — chosen, not shuffled.

Some you’ll know.
Some you won’t.

That’s kind of the point.

There are records playing, not playlists — chosen, not shuffled.

By night

The lights drop a touch, the room shifts, and it becomes something else.

Part bar.
Part listening space.
Part whatever the night turns into.

Sometimes it’s a music quiz.
Sometimes it’s a room full of people listening to a record from start to finish.

It depends on the night.

Some evenings hum. Some properly spark.

For years, music has slowly been pushed into the background.

Played, but not really listened to.
Heard, but not really felt.

AAA exists to pull it back into the centre of the room.

To give it space again.

To create a place where music isn’t just on…
it’s part of the experience.

Music here isn’t background. It moves, shifts, and is chosen by the people in the room. Sometimes the room changes because one song changes it.

What it feels like

You walk in and something’s already happening.

A record’s playing.
Someone’s mid-conversation.
Someone else is asking what’s on the turntable. Someone else is trying to Shazam a track before the chorus disappears

You might come in for a quick coffee and stay longer than planned.
You might come for a drink and end up talking about a record you’ve never heard before.

Sit at the bar long enough and you’ll get pulled into something.

That’s just how it works.

  • Music Quiz

A night for serious listeners, lucky guesses, and the odd wildly overconfident answer.

    Explore the Quiz
  • Listening Sessions

Albums, start to finish, with the room actually paying attention.

  • Sonic Postcards

Cities, scenes, stories and the records that shaped them.

  • Records Start to Finish

No skipping. No shuffle. Just the full thing, as it was meant to land.

  • Open Mic Night

    A room, a mic, and whoever’s willing.
Some stay safe. Some take a risk.
The good ones change the atmosphere completely.

People don’t come here just for a drink.

They come because they know something will happen.

A conversation.
A recommendation.
A moment.

It’s the kind of place where strangers stop being strangers after a couple of tracks.

No one announces that.

It just… happens.

Take a Piece of It With You

This place doesn’t really switch off when you leave.

It lingers a bit.

In the music you go back to.

In the conversations you keep thinking about.

So we made a way for it to travel with you.

Not merchandise.

Not souvenirs.

Just a few pieces that carry the same idea —

simple, considered, and built around music.

Where It Came From

AAA didn’t appear out of nowhere.

It’s the result of years spent in and around music —

building systems, chasing sound, and learning what makes a room feel right.

Some of that thinking found its way here.
